THE MONSTERS ARE FINALLY IN SCHOOL

HURREY THE MONSTERS STARTED SCHOOL YESTERDAY, after being out of school for approximately four months we are ready to get rid of them. The kids were so excited when they found out they could finally go to school. brett started Highland Middle School and rides the school bus, he leaves at 7:10 and gets out of school at 2:45. Braden and Ashley started Bennette Elementary School, they leave to walk to school which is right across the street at 9:00 and get out at 3:25.

WALLACE FALLS

We decided to take the kids to a place called WALLACE FALLS, it's in a little town called Gold Bar, it is about 45 minutes from our house.

this is one of three bridges that we had to cross to get to the falls, the trail is approximately 2.5 miles long to get to them, i know what you are thinking that picture is kinda blurry, well you try and take a picture while your heart is beating out of control because you walked 200 yards in higher elevation ahhhh who am i kidding im just out of shape sorry.


this is what happens to children who don't mind there parents and run way ahead of them down the trail when asked not too 14 times, this tree made a perfect time out. i know i know pretty creative.

this is a picture i took of dawnee and asheley next to a tree i knocked over after tripping on a rock and falling down the switch backs. just kidding i pushed it over.

WEll it was a long hall to get there but well worth it, the kids loved it all they wanted to do is go swimming at the base of the water fall, if i wasent so far away from a hospital i would have let them try it.

on the way back down the trail the kids found another tree that i pushed over and decided to have a little fun.

On strike

So in case anyone was wondering how school is going for my kids...well it's not. The teachers have decided to go on strike and this has postponed the beginning of the school year. I'm pretty sure the teachers didn't check with us mom's cause I'm sure the majority of us would not have ok'd this move.

The Beach

We decided to take the kids to the beach in Ocean City. It's about 2 1/2 hours from our house. The kids loved it even thought the water was pretty cold.

New car (again)

It's common knowledge that my husband has this thing about buying well...things. Cars, truck, 4 wheelers, rails... Here is his latest purchase, a new car for me. Thanks honey, I love it!

My first post

So for my very first post I thought I would talk about my very cool sister-in-law, Donelle. She is 3rd from the left in the orange shirt. Anyways, here we are this summer at the Kenny Chesney concert. We had a great time. She has talked me into starting a blog and is helping me figure this thing out!
